The Turn & Learn
Pattern Board offers a unique approach to abstracting, creating,
copying, extending and transferring patterns. Experiences using
the board encourage children to make generalizations about
patterns and identify relationships.
Each cube on the board can be rotated to show a red, blue or
yellow dot, providing children with numerous opportunities to
explore simple and complex patterns such as:
- Repeating linear patterns
- Repeating cyclic & border patterns
- Growing patterns
- Symmetrical patterns
- Spatial patterns - dot patterns and arrays
- Hopscotch patterns - patterns as rotations and translations
